Types of steel interior doors

Folding doors

Stylish folding doors with several door panels will catch the eye immediately. They give you a lot of flexibility to close off the room if necessary.

Pivoting doors

If there is enough free space, you can opt for pivoting doors that can be opened from both sides. These pivoting doors, which rotate around the vertical axis, seem to float above the floor, creating an extraordinary effect.

Sliding doors

Our sliding doors are very popular also. You can opt for rustic-looking sliding Barn doors with visible wheels on top of the rails. Or do you prefer sliding doors with an integrated rail system? For this purpose, we work with the high-quality ROB systems for wall or ceiling mount.

Types of profiles

At Feral Group, we deliberately choose to manufacture steel interior doors only with tubular profiles and not with torsion-sensitive L profiles or T profiles. The tubular profiles do not deform, even when they are used intensively by opening and closing the doors frequently.

Tubular profiles

We carefully weld the tubular profiles together in mitre joint for maximum strength of the steel door. We also place each glass pane separately in the sealant work of the door. This way, we achieve optimal density and avoid thermal bridges, condensation and the formation of mould. The risk of broken door glass is also considerably reduced because the sealant largely absorbs the torsional forces.

Non-thermal break profiles

For steel interior doors, we usually choose non-thermal break profiles. However, if the doors separate rooms with significantly different inside temperatures the thermal break variant is also possible. The minimum thickness of the profiles is determined according to the technical situation and installation, but there is a wide range of colours and finishes you can choose from.

Types of glazing

Clear glass

Laminated safety glass is our standard choice for interior applications because the interlayer between the glass panes holds small glass fragments if the glass breaks. This reduces the risk of injury. If desired, glass with better thermal insulation is an option as well.

Coloured glass

Why not make your steel interior doors even more original with light grey, dark grey or coppery glass? Coloured glass gives the doors a special look and you can use the natural incidence of light in a creative way. Or do you prefer frosted glass to create a little more privacy?

Textured glass

In our profiles we can also attach special types of glass such as cathedral glass, patterned glass, cloudy glass or wired glass. With these types of glass, you can make the appearance of your steel interior doors match your interior even more.

Types of finish

Putty   Our speciality

We seal each glass individually in the steel frame with Soudal Tradition. This modern putty does not harden completely and is not sensitive to light or temperature. This prevents it from crumbling. When sealing the glass openings, we also leave each side to dry for at least 48 hours.

Glazing beads

If you have specific colour preferences, we usually propose the placement of the glass panes with glazing beads. We can paint the glazing beads in the desired colour before we mount the glass panes in the steel door frame.
