Types of profiles

At Feral Group, we do not work with torsion-sensitive L or T profiles, but with high-quality profiles. We carefully weld them together in mitre to guarantee maximum strength. We then place the glazing in the sealant work between the glass panes and the profiles. This is how we avoid cold bridges, condensation and the formation of mould. This installation method makes it possible to replace broken glass relatively easily and quickly. Not the entire glass section, but just the one broken glass pane can be replaced separately. The putty also absorbs a large part of the torsional forces, which further reduces the risk of glass breakage.

Tubular profiles   Default

The tubular profiles are available in various thicknesses, materials and finishes. For interior applications, ultra-slim steel profiles, for example, offer a very clean look. Stainless steel profiles are very suitable for use in damp rooms.

Non-thermal break profiles

In addition to the tubular profiles, we also offer non-thermal break profiles. These profiles have a better insulating value. They are used in rooms where there are specific requirements in terms of noise or heat. They are also available in various thicknesses, colours and finishes. The choice of profile thickness depends on the situation and the placement (in or behind the gap).

Types of glazing

Clear glass

Laminated safety glass is our standard choice for interior applications because the film between the glass panes holds small glass fragments if the glass breaks. This reduces the risk of injury significantly. If desired, glass with better thermal insulation is an option as well.

Tinted glass

Have you ever thought of light grey, dark grey or copper-coloured glass? Coloured glass is highly recommended for those who are not scared to play with light colours and effects.

Textured glass

We can even process special and exclusive types of glass into our profiles. Cathedral glass, patterned glass, cloudy glass or wired glass, to name just a few. Anti-glare frosted glass is also an option and fits perfectly in modern interiors.

Types of finish

Putty   Our speciality

At Feral, we seal glass openings inhouse and in the traditional way using the state-of-the-art putty Soudal Tradition. This putty is not sensitive to light or temperature. It does not discolour and does not harden completely, which prevents it from crumbling. Sealing is a very precise and labour-intensive job where we leave each side to dry for at least 48 hours.

Glazing beads

If you have specific colour preferences, we usually propose the placement of the glass panes with glazing beads. We can paint the glazing beads in the desired colour in advance. Glazing beads can also be considered for large glass sections.
